Sweet-potato a large,starchy,sweet-tasting root vegetable.Sweet-potato are an excellent source of beta carotene,vitamin C, and potassium. Sweet-potatoes are world wide produced and consumed in different forms. Sweet-potatoes is very versatile which can be cooked in different forms one among them is Sweet-potato filters.It is most popular tea time snacks in south India . Very easy to prepare & delicious.
INGREDIENTS
Sweet-potato 2
Gram-flour/Besan 2 cup
Cumin/Jeera 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil to deep fry
Method
- Wash sweet-potatoes & peel the skin.
- Make a thin slice
- Keep in cold water so that color doesn't change.
- In another bowl prepare a batter.
- Add gram-flour ,cumin, turmeric powder, salt
- Add water & make a batter.
- Batter must not be watery nor very thick
- Dip sweet-potato slices into the batter
- Deep fry till light golden in colour.
- Serve hot with chai.
