Chicken Urval is a delicious Mangalorean dish. Very simple to prepare but rich in tastes.
INGREDIENTS
Chicken1kgG
Garammasala 1 tbspG
Gingergarlic paste 1tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Chilli powder 1tbsp
Lemon 1/2
Dry red chilli 30
Garlic cloves 5
Curry leaves 10
Ghee 2tbsp
Cashew nuts 10
Coriander leaves few
Salt as per taste
*Method
- Marinate chicken with turmeric, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder & salt for 30mins
- Blanch the 20 dry red chilli for 5mins(boil the chilli)
- Grind it into fine paste
- Heat ghee fry garlic, curry leaves cashew nuts and red chilli 10
- Remove & keep it for later use.
- Add chilli paste to same pan & saute until masala starts to boil
- Add marinated chicken mix well close lid and let it cook for 10min
- Open lid give a mix
- Let it cook in high flame for 10 mins or until gravy gets dried.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
