Uppad Pachir are pieces of raw jack fruit preserved in salt water this can be stored for more than a year.Before uppad pacchir was made only during the monsoon but now you get it throughout the year.....
*Ingredients
Uppad Pachir/ Raw Jackfruit (preserved in salt)
For Tempering
Onion 1/2
Tomato 1
Oil 2tbsp
Mustard seeds 1tsp
Asafoetida 1/2tsp
For Masala
Dry red chilli long 4
Dry red chilli short 4
Cumin seeds 1tsp
Mustard seeds 1/2tsp
Coriander seeds 2tbsp
Onion 1/2
Garlic cloves 4
Coconut grated 5tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Garam Masala 1tsp
Curry leaves few

- Wash & soak preserved raw Jackfruit in water overnight
- Next day squeeze all the water and wash in fresh water & drain
- Prepare masala
- Dry roast all the ingredients and grind
- Heat kadai add 2tbsp oil
- Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, onion and tomato
- Add Uppad Pachir
- Add water 1/2cup & let it cook for 10mins
- Add grinded masala & let it cook 15mins
- Keep stirring occasionally
- Uppad Pachir Sukka Is Ready.
