INGREDIENTS
JACKFRUIT RAW 1
CHICKPEA 1Cups
ONION 1
TOMATO 1
Coconut 2cups
SUKKA MASALA POWDER 4TBSP
GARAM MASALA 1TBSP
TURMERIC POWDER 1TSP
OIL 4TBSP
SALT AS PER TASTE
Tempering/Tadka
OIL 2TBSP
MUSTARD SEEDS 1TBSP
RED CHILLI 3
GARLIC CLOVES 5
CURRY LEAVES 1 STEM
Hing 1tbsp
Soak chickpeas in water overnight.Cook them with little salt and enough water to cover the chickpeas in pressure cooker for 4 to 5 whistles (or depending how much whistles your cooker will take to cook them)
Toss in the chopped raw jackfruit into the cooker, add one chopped onion & tomato.
Add chickpea cooked water or fresh water
Cover and cook for 1 whistles.
Add cooked chickpea.
Add grated coconut, Sukka Masala Powder, turmeric powder and jaggery powder.
Mix well and let it cook for 10min/ untill water evaporats
Place a pan on medium heat , add oil, when oil is hot add mustard seeds, when it starts popping add crushed garlic, curry leaves, hing and red chilly and stir for few seconds.
Add tempering to the dish.
Mix well
Ready to serve with rice
